Another Islamic Terrorist Attack Foiled.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with a terrorism-related offence after police were alerted to a number of his social media posts.

The teenager was arrested at his home at The Oaks, south-west of Sydney, at midnight last night and charged with one count of acts in preparation for, or planning, a terrorist act.

He was also charged with using a telecommunications network with intent to commit a serious offence.

He was refused bail to appear at a children’s court today.

Police say there is no threat to the community and the arrest is unrelated to any previous investigation by the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team.

Just heard this on Channel 7's Sunrise program.

His social media sites were being monitored by the police apparently.

And that enabled the police to locate and arrest him.

What a lucky break for the rest of us.
