Electoral fraud
Jun 5th, 2016 at 4:26pm

I was just trying to work out how we could see proof of how Red Baron votes (he says he will be voting Labor) and came up with the obvious that he could mark his ballot paper with his vote, write 'G'day Aussie' on it, take a photo with his phone, and post it here.  Then my tangent mind came up with this bewdy.

Say I go to the desk to have my name crossed off, and the person hands me the ballot papers with their usual initials on it.  I go to the booth, tuck the papers unmarked on my person, and then discretely leave with those papers on me.

Off I toddle to a decent photocopier, make 1000 copies, hand them out to an organised pre-planned group with the plan that they return to the same booth I received them from, they then get their own legit papers, and put that in the boxes together with the extras (photocopies) with votes marked, and Bob's yer Uncle.

Yeas, I know that the Booth Boss will be aware that he has received 1000 more votes than crossed of voters, but how can they remake Humpty?

Will all votes be called invalid?  What do they do?

What business is it of yours how Red Baron (or anybody else for that matter) votes?

So you will have the appropriate coloured paper to make the copies with?

That would be an easy thing to do.

We can say whatever we like on a Public Forum, such as this, it doesn't mean that it is FACT and it is still none of your f..king business!!!  You asked for Red Baron to write "G'day Aussie" on his ballot paper and take a photo of it and post it here.  So .......smart arse, it is still none of your f..king business. Oz, see my highlighted portion of your original post up above ... it says

I was just trying to work out how we could see proof of how Red Baron votes (he says he will be voting Labor) and came up with the obvious that he could mark his ballot paper with his vote, write 'G'day Aussie' on it, take a photo with his phone, and post it here.

That is what I wrote, Nappy.  Settle down.  You'll burst a a vein if you don't.   I did not ask Red Baron to do anything.

The difference between a real signature and a photocopied one is pretty obvious. It would be a good way to destroy the reputation of whatever party you were voting for.

I don't think so.  I was merely pointing out the obvious which is that I did not ask Red Baron to do anything, as you falsely asserted.

Exactly....which is why the plan would be to fraudulently vote for the crowd you want to discredit.

They don't actually sign in my experience.  They squiggle/scrawl their initials.
