Absolutely.  A history of basic payments. If you can manage that you get a pass. If you don't have an ongoing history of drug and/or alcohol, if there is no evidence of child neglect. You get a pass.

Huh!

I've always loathed this Yahoo multi fraud. And he knows it.

Now I've discovered that others have woken up to him too. Oh well....

No Lisa that is just plain wrong- I remember you two used to troll Ozpol together. Anyway nite.

So - where are the jobs?

Ask backpackers, they seem to lob into Australia and find employment pretty easy.

Employers discriminate heavily against Australian unemployed when hiring, do try to keep up.

Exactly! That is why I tell people to "get a job, any job" even it it is below you, if you are "filling in" doing cleaning or whatever, at least you are proving you are WILLING TO WORK ... and will get a better reception at an interview for what you are qualified to do.

There is a saying in the Employment circles ... if you are unemployed, you are unemployable.   Believe it. Sad but true.

utter horse poo...

farmers will employ anyone who is willing to work

you get paid for what you do..

as in..

per Bucket of grapes you pick for instance...

the more buckets you fill, the more you get paid...

if you are a hard worker then you'll get paid well..

if you are an Australian bludging tossa.. you wont get paid much and welfare will seem like a great option as you are a lazy slob..

A little story.
A lady at work who runs a body corporate couldn't find anyone to
fix the roof guttering on some units.

5 different tradespeople turned the job down - & wouldn't even quote.

A 6th one turned up & quoted to fix the whole roof instead  & mostly forgot about the guttering.

It seems that many tradespeople people don't want any work.

That is soooo true!

I recently had renovations done to my backyard.

I could not get any Aussies or Euros to do it.

It was all too much and too hard yadda yadda yadda.

I finally got a group of Asians in who were ready, willing and able to do the work straightaway and at half the cost. Oh and they were happy to provide a written quote and an invoice. I wish I could say the same for all the others who came by to look at the job.

In my line of work, I come across that all the time. The problem is not finding someone to do the job, it's finding someone with the correct license and insurance who is willing to do the job.

The body corporate, or their insurance, can not accept work from someone who doesn't have both. For the body corporate to accept work from someone who doesn't have both would mean the body corp. would become liable if something went wrong.

The fact is that the work was never done.

Did they bring their own rice balls and fish heads?  Were they licenced and insured?  did they have visas?

The thing isn't that 'people don't want work' - it is that tradies, like doctors and politicians, nowadays consider themselves above doing the hard work jobs, and only want to do the easy and lucrative work.

Be careful of your choice of words... there are many people out there who would be happy to work given the chance, rather than while away their time in front of reality TV.

Bobby - you should know better than to feed such phrases to the lunatic fringe around here, or to even pay lip service to such nonsense.

Gotta love the 'work for the farmer' - after all the rip-off stories and court cases going on.... some people never leave Dreamland, do they?

Got us a plumber coming in this week to set up the renovated bathroom.

Told you - tradies are too fat and got it too easy.... no plumber wants to tie himself up for a one-call job that lasts days when he can do a series of tap repairs for little old ladies with arthritic hands for $100 a pop, taking ten minutes each....

Why limit yourself to a hard slog for a couple of days with only one call-out fee when you can cop it sweet every day with the small jobs....?

To get a job done you need, in your situation, to contact a firm and not an individual tradie...... the boss will organise someone to do the job.

Judging by that statement I don't think you know what a tradie does for a living. For the most part it is filthy, sweaty work; that pays damn good money.

Dole bludger, should have no choice if there is work available to them and they say no, fine no fkkken dole until the work is done. They can sit and watch someone else earn the the money and pay the taxes that go to support welfare recipients, just not them.

Long term dole bludgers always have an excuse; fkkk 'em I have run out of patience for bull sh1t excuses

It does seem you can make up stories that perfectly fit your narrative.

It also seem you think everyone is a intellectually deficient as you and will believe the little stories you make up.  Grin Grin Grin

Here is a little fact you might want to use in future, Tradies who don't want to do a particular job, for what ever reason, will write a quote is outrageously high.

Just because you have some little sh1t job that is beyond your technical capabilities doesn't mean every tradie will jump at the chance to do it for you.

But there isn't, is there?

I've posted the figures at LEAST TWICE in this thread alone, as have several others, but you refuse to see them?

Why?

And PLEASE don't come back with bullsh1t like 'there are jobs if you look hard'.

There are NOT.
