Emperor Barnett would lose an election if it were held now? Gee, what a surprise! I wonder why?
Let's see...
* Car registrations (compulsory 3rd party insurance) going up again by $99 a year from the middle of this year.
* Millions wasted on Elizabeth Quay (and now we have the Quay water park bacteria fiasco which they apparently knew about before the official opening in January).
https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/31138520/perth-girl-blinded-after-quay-wa...* Millions wasted on a new sports stadium.
* No money for schools, public housing, hospitals, etc. (but plenty for the Quay and Stadium).
* Public housing rents going up again (by now sneakily including certain previously exempt pensioner benefits in assessable income). And, at the same time, no increase in the amount people are allowed to earn to be eligible for public housing ($430 a week for single people
BEFORE TAX - which hasn't changed since
MAY 2006). Lowest in Australia by at least $100 a week.
And many more reasons which I can't think of right now.
As I've said before - Barnett and his cronies should have gone 3 years ago at the last State election - it was only the unpopularity of the Gillard Federal Labor government that saved him.
