Has anyone here actually seen one of his docos?
loads of them.

So you'd be aware then that he's actually one of the more reasonable doco makers out there in terms of bias?

He takes a leftist viewpoint. He's done a skinhead doco, a black racists doco, white south African docos, religious nutjob docos etc etc and he hasn't agreed with any of them on anything.

He doesn't have to agree .... you can't argue that he doesn't let them explain their point of view. They have every opportunity to convince him otherwise. If they fail to do so, maybe it's because their argument doesn't stack up
He's a do-gooder. No matter what he comes in with his beliefs. That's why he interviews the groups he does.

that's why ANYONE interviews the people they interview .

Something they have no opinion on would not rate very well.

I'll ask you this- Australia is massive with many things going on. Why visit remote aboriginal settlements? It's plainly obvious.

Hopefully he will expose the massive dysfunction and endemic child abuse in these places.

Nope., There's nothing out there for his show but out of control aboriginal settlements. Next.

Louis Theroux usually gives a balanced report in his doco's...

I'm not sure how he'll ever get his head around our abbo problem but he is always well researched and unbiased... that I have seen...

I would love to see what he comes up with

Poor Aborigines they are still discriminated in Australia.
They should be given an independent state on Australian continent.

They had an independent continent for 36,000 years and did abosolutely bugger-all with it.

Hell yes.

And the male-on-female bashings, and the blindings of long-suffering wives with pointed sticks.

But we won't see any of that.

Nor will we see the rubbish blowing about like a City Dump when his camera crews arrive at some of the community housing projects. It'll all be tidied up beforehand.

The 'message' the doco will want to aim for is that White Anglo/Irish Australia is a monster so far as aboriginal interests are concerned.

His problem is that he is a lefty soft-cock that seems puzzled by the real world and why it isn't as nice and polite as he is.

I watched him interview a forensic cleaner and the poor chap couldn't get his head around the fact the cleaner was pretty matter of fact with the gore and not in an emotional mess, much like himself.

It was both funny and sad to see him not understand the situation at all.

And if Theroux doesn't include The Cronulla Riots in his whinging itinerary - I'll stand the whole of the OzPolitic membership to ... to ... er ... let me think about it.

It'll be Joe Hildebrand's 'Dumb, Drunk and Racist' all over again, but in a subtler form.
