He cannot do much reform, because the ultra conservatives in the party keeps on making trouble for him. See, he wanted an ETS, change the negative gearing, capital gains tax, and looking at super tax concession. But alas it was not possible. And you can only cut the spending so much before people start to yell: Malcolm = Abbott the second.
The real problem is however, instead of being seen as Malcolm in the middle, he is beginning to look like Malcolm stuck in the middle. And thats a danger.
more like Malc slipping further to the left....he is a fake Lib...always was... a divider sadly...hes not a team player...its all about me.... ..
he wanted the top job...now hes got it.....well thats all he ever wanted to be SEEN at the top..to be PM...so he snatched it...now like the dog with the car.. he doesnt know what to do with it...
if libs are waiting for him to act and produce some new policies ... they could be waiting a long time..
.but hes what they wanted..

so likewise with shortarse
you make your bed you then have to lay in it...
because you are stuck with them
no matter what they do its going to be painful....and serve them right...
with luck both parties will find a huge backlash....and the INFORMAL vote will send a big message to everyone of them...
dont ever take us for granted again..
