The only people who choose the PM are the 150 Members of Parliament who sit in the House.

We only get to choose who will be the 150 people who represent us.

Technically, it is the caucus of the government that chooses.

Who decides who will be the government? The group who commands a majority of the votes on the floor of Parliament.

That is why my statement is correct.
