Pell is like some Dinosaur rejecting that his world has changed. All I can see is denial, denial, denial.

That sack is going down, it's just a matter of time.

Those Victorian investigations are dead serious, if they are truthful then he is dead in the water.

I believe those enquiries will be sustained, call it instinct.

Taken a long time for the truth to surface but funny isn't it. It does even if it takes decades.

I don't recall getting involved in the Rolf Harris debate other than to state my long held and oft expressed view that charging old men with offences committed a long time ago is charging the wrong bloke ~ no-one is the same person they were in the early years when they in the 70s, 80s and 90s.

I also don't recall you being involved in that debate much either.

Pell comes from an era where LOTS of people knew about child sex going on and did nothing about it. Police, teachers, general populace all knew what was going on but chose to ignore. The entire society is actually on trial from that period - or should be. How does large-scale sexual abuse go on almost in public without a large number of people knowing? IT DOESNT. The conspiracy of silence covered millions of ordinary australians who pretended it wasnt happening or worse, that it was just part of life.

As far as charges go, conspiring to not report a serious crime ... must be a crime.

He failed to report what sounds like dozens of serious crimes, to protect the Assets of the church. Serious crime. He appears then, to be a criminal.
