The Murdoch media published it. Generally a big supporter of Pell. Within .00001 seconds Pell has refuted it, and the rest of the media is getting in behind the fact that the accusations are old and without foundation.

Someone has allegedly leaked information to the schmedia concerning an investigation not known to me until yesterday, and what is far more relevant.....not known to anyone in the public domain, including Pell. This has all the hallmarks of a beat up timed to co-incide with Pell's appearance in front of the Royal Commission due, I think, later this month.

Among those quite alarmed about this will be the Royal Commissioners themselves.

I've often wondered how people decide to complain about something that happened 40-50 years ago. I find it all a bit too convenient, particularly this one.

So, has anyone here's had a run in with a pedo as a child or an adult.

I'll go first. I was groomed while at boarding school and it was simply chance I wasn't abused. One of my school friends was. Dead by 25 heroin OD.

If there is even a whiff a few molecules wide of a priest or authority figure abusing kids, I wasn't it investigated until there is not a shadow of a doubt about what happened.

I've seen how the wagons get circled and the blame get reversed.

Anyone else have a story?
