Victoria Police investigating Cardinal Pell

Detectives from Sano Taskforce have compiled a dossier containing allegations that Cardinal Pell committed “multiple offences” when a priest in Ballarat and when archbishop of Melbourne.

It has been alleged the 74-year-old, now in charge of finances at the Vatican in Rome, sexually abused minors by “both grooming and opportunity’’.

The allegations span four decades, with the Ballarat-born cardinal accused of abusing children — now adults aged in their late 20s to early 50s — between 1978 and 2001.

Wow - it's possible that George Hell is a pedophile.

Reminds me of the time I got caught in a leagues club making a speech that included racist slurs against Asians, Aboriginals, and Italians. And Mexicans. Anyhow, the next morning I'm sobering up and I'm with my media people and they say they have already inserted a false accusation against me in the morning papers of running over a crippled child in my Merc sports car. Apparently I'd already put out a press statement deriding the accusations and demanding people stop making slurs against me. The racist rant got buried, and commentators were lining up to defend me.

None of the above happened. But you get the drift. Grin
