$373 000 to fit out an office .... friggen ridiculous.

All politicians should be made to fit out there offices using ONLY IKEA or Fantastic Furniture products.

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *

As soon as contractors see it is a government fitout they add a zero to the back of the quote.

Coalition seems to have plenty of spending/rorting/channeling money to their pockets as well then.

Ofc - the lib supporters will just ignore/deflect/double standards.  Even if it is twice the amount (actually bit more than twice).

You seem to not notice that the report mentions ALL MPs, not just Libs.

Federal MPs spend big on office fit-outs

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce spent more than $670,000 on taxpayer-funded office fit-outs in 2015.

The latest Finance Department parliamentary entitlement figures show Mr Joyce spent $670,897 on office fit-outs in the first half of 2015.

He wasn’t the only parliamentarian who ran up a hefty bill, with Greens MP Adam Bandt and government backbencher Keith Pitt dropping $323,697 and $320,308 respectively on their offices.

Justice Minister Michael Keenan spent $300,510, while Labor frontbenchers Jason Clare and Mark Dreyfus charged taxpayers $264,920 and $227,991 respectively for improvements to their offices.
