My father's cat, when my father was about 12 or 13, was run over by some motorist who mounted the curb just to kill the cat. In my late teens, I was still living with my parents. One month, our neighbour's cat kept coming across the road to make friends with us while its owner was away. One night I heard this car driving erratically around the street and the sound of that car U-turning, and mounting the curb. Then this almighty squeal of the car getting hit. Two teenagers were out joy riding and not giving a damn about running over people's pets. The cat itself ran across the road to 'safety' where it coughed a few times and lay down to die. Mum had to put the cat in a box and cover the body with a blanket and wait for the owner to come home. Frickin' idiocy.

cats are not meant to be roaming wildly.

they are meant to be contained on the owners property.

I have captured 4 cats here and want to get more .

That's a good question.

I've got three cats, and they're like little human children once you know and understand them.

They are close to being a perfect finished product of evolution just like sharks are. There's nothing more they need to evolve to be the perfect killing machines that they are.

You want to save a small percentage of Australian wildlife from feral cats.

Why???

How many people living in Australia go out of their way to see our native animals in the bush? 2%? 5%?
