You got cats, Bobby? (Or had and will have?)

Then vote in my poll!

I did vote -
I'm trying to tame a cat at the moment but
it's not going well.
He stays outside in the cold by choice instead
of wanting to be inside in the warmth.
He's neutered and vaccinated etc.
I can only feed him inside if the door is left open.
I'm getting fed up with him actually.

Our little Australian terrier did not want to come inside anymore after being hit by a car.

Your cat has mental issues—did it come from an abusive home? Just one bad experience is all it takes sometimes. You need to try a different approach, Bobby—can you find out its history?

Why not leave the food just inside the door? Try not feeding it for a day (carnivores can stand that) and put it further inside the door.

DON’T GET ANGRY WITH IT! (Don’t show the anger and frustration.) Spend some time playing with it, ball of paper crumpled up on the end of a string kind of thing.

It's not my cat - I'm just looking after it for
the so called owners.
His early background is not known.
I was hoping for more progress in taming him.

I have played with him outside using some of his toys.

We'll see how it goes.

Doberman dogs have had the aggression bred out of them but they are still liable to win any dogfight they get involved in!

I wouldn't be so sure of that. I know off a few Dobermen that would tear your throat out and not even blink. Most are pretty good with people, but put a male doberman and another strange dog together? Better prepare for WWIII

My male was 40kg of solid muscle. My bitch was 25kg. but she ruled the roost. And food she had first crack at. Although I suspect that was mostly because he let her.

I saw him once stand his ground with her, I don't recall why now, but she couldn't get away fast enough.

I came across this story of a heroic dog, and it’s kind of heart breaking, but worth telling....

Well done George!

And they destroyed the two dogs, naturally. Should have destroyed the owner at the same time!
