I too have used Norton for many years without any issues despite people claiming it hogged resources or some such crap.

If anyone has a decent computer like mine -

an i7 quad core with 16 gig of RAM then it will eat Norton for breakfast.

Useless, overpriced bloatware.

You've been had.

Go away Greggy -

my advice is given away free here but is worth $140 per hour

if you had to pay for my technical advice.

I do NOT use Registry First Aid to "speed up" my Desktop computer ... I already have 32GB of RAM and have never had a problem with it "slowing down" or crashing.  I use Registry First Aid as I would use a duster in the house ... "housekeeping".

I think Herbie's problem could be a "hardware" one or drivers or something  .... or he has downloaded so many "FREE" programs that hate each other and throw a tanty every so often.

Do you create a Restore Point every time your computer is running OK, Herb? At least then you have somewhere to go back to.  Wink

I only have 4.00 GB of Installed Memory (RAM) ... WHAT did you pay for that incredible 32GB of RAM? They charged me over $100 to upgrade from 2GB of RAM to 4GB of RAM ...

I'll think about buying that Registry First Aid gizmo, but I'm not convinced I really need it.

Restore Points are made automatically with my OS of Windows 7.

Your advice is worthless.

Paying for virtually useless bloatware like Norton is madness.

Greggy's reply was the same minute that I posted
which means he never clicked on the links
to even check out the technical details.

Greggy - you're a troll & I can't take you seriously -
neither can anyone else.

You've been sucked in.

Keep paying for your useless bloatware, if that's what makes you happy.

Greggy,
You deserve it with your reluctance to accept advice from experts.

You think you know everything - an expert on every topic.

You're the sort of fool who would tell your surgeon how to operate on you.

If you think that advising people to pay for Norton and load it onto their computer is "expert" advice, you're even sillier than I thought.

Not only my expert advice but the same advice found all over the internet.

Also - my advice from experience with many products.

Kaspersky & AVG let me down - Norton never has.

If you've ever had to reload your entire computer with the original disk them you'd know too.

Who do you ask for advice on computers -

the girl in the sandwich shop?
