Good point ian - the OP is a bald-faced lie, but at least the story they misrepresented isn't a hoax. Thats the important thing here.
the story wasnt misrepresented.
Oh, it certainly was.
Muslims didn't demand that the cross be removed from the Swiss flag.
A Christian suggested it.
That's all.
In 2011.
i just thought Id let you dig your holes deeper.
Quote:An immigrant group based in Bern has called for the emblematic white cross to be removed from the Swiss national flag because as a Christian symbol it “no longer corresponds to today’s multicultural Switzerland.” Ivica Petrusic, the vice president of Second@s Plus,
a lobbying group that represents mostly Muslim second-generation foreigners in Switzerland
(who colloquially are known as secondos) says the group will launch a nationwide campaign in October to ask Swiss citizens to consider adopting a flag that is less offensive to Muslim immigrants.

Sorry to be hysterical, Ian, but try Googling Second@s Plus. I've also tried Secondos and Secondus. it doesn't exist.
As Greggery has pointed out, this is a 5 year old story. We had this discussion back in 2011, and we even discussed the membership based on an old internet story. According to the founder, there were no Muslims in the group, or none that he knew about. Secondos are a Swiss group representing second-generation children of migrants, or people
born in Switzerland.
You're free to keep trying to defend this, but you'll need to start posting some facts. This story was done and dusted in 2011, and the website of the organization, whatever it's called, appears to have been taken down.
Forgive my hysteria though, dear. It's that time of the month.
