Nice theory, Monk, just not backed up by those nasty little things called 'facts'. The last year of Howard there was less than a hundred asylum seekers arriving by boat. After a peak of over 20,000 under Gillard the number is again back under a hundred. The peak of @1400 kids in detention under Gillard is again back under a hundred.
