Didn't think Mal was with Macquarie bank. Wasn't when I was there and nobody ever talked about him.

Stimulus payments to dead people and ex-pats. Pink batts installations causing house fires, deaths and millions of dollars rorted/wasted. Needlessly killing off the live cattle trade. Windmills,  wave generators and de-salination plants all mothballed or grossly ineffective.  Education rorts. Billions of dollars wasted with the reopening of the borders against all sane advice. Propping up dud companies like Ford and Holden. Talk about profligacy!

dead people and ex-pats
If you pay some of a certain collection of people (pensioners, say) you need to pay ALL pensioners. Treasury and Centerlink spent three months cleaning up the file of those on benefits. Some still died and got the check. This happens, people are hatched and dispatched Smiley

Considering the HIP retrofitted over 1.2m homes, 20+ years work in normal times, the deaths and fires were actually less per 1000 retrofits. One installer went out and bought metal staples after being issued with plastic ones.

Live cattle trade—The graziers and their representative bodies should have known how their cattle were being treated. The current bunch of losers and jerkoffs insulted the Indo Pres and now our Indo allocation is 25% of what it used to be.

Salination plants, by State govts. We will need them when the next 10 years drought hits.

Borders—you probably think the Pacific Solution did anything. Now we have thousands of people in concentration camps. Wonderful, not.

Meantime, the idiot Libs are running out copper. Copper! More expensive to roll out, power and maintain yet does so much less!

Exaggeration that unfortunately, some of the public bought.  Very clever marketing from libs.

Nice theory, Monk, just not backed up by those nasty little things called 'facts'. The last year of Howard there was less than a hundred asylum seekers arriving by boat. After a peak of over 20,000 under Gillard the number is again back under a hundred. The peak of @1400 kids in detention under Gillard is again back under a hundred. Vote Labor if you want boats, drownings and full detention centres. If you don't want kids in detention, don't vote ALP, eh Virginia?

Same thing in reality. I only commented because I had a few run ins with Mal and the feathers would have been ruffled had we come across each other at Mac.

How often have you had the phone-call asking for your political opinion?

I get called, regularly. They initially asked for "somebody under 35" so I lied .........  Grin Now I am on their List.  Grin  I am the one that gives the Liberals the extra 1% ... don't muck about being truthful when they ask your age ........

No surprise really, and next week it will be worse for the Libs with the gloss falling off Turnbull, his GST back down, Gonski, Ruddock's obvious job for the Old Boy, and now a third Minister in the sheeet.  Underlining all that is a (a) complete lack of new vision ~ It is same sheeeety ship, different Captain, and (b) Abbott/Credlin white anting.

Morgan is always all over the place. They had the libs at 56.5 and now 52.5 all while the majors just stay on 53/47. Now without the GST holding them back, the polls will only improve.

They ask for under 35s only???  No wonder they are notoriously unreliable.
