Essential. A 0.2% lift in Lib support sees the Essential got to poll 52:48. No change, effectively.

Australians support a reduction in military involvement in Syria and Iraq.

Well done Monk!  You actually noted and accepted a LIFT in Lib support. Before you know it, you will be accepting all manner of facts and truths!

You think 0.2% is a RISE? A statistical fluke, no more, in the decimal part.

Dear god  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Rather a rise than a fall. An in any case, the point of my post was that this was the first time anyone has seen you accept a poll that shows a rise in liberal votes. It is such a rarity most are in shock still.

i have presented many good arguements why rightards are the natural party of leadership.

it is going against nature to have the left trying to lead.

as it is unnatural, the liberals need to make it unlawful.

So you are happy with a one party state?

North Korea is like that so go and live there. That should make you and your horse very happy.

i would be happy to see 2 alpha-led parties fight it out.
competition is good.
think of it like Bill Gates v Steve Jobs,
the entrepreneurial business cream rising to the top in a spirit of contribution and competition.

i am not happy to see beta males (or worse females) trying to gain the ascendency and "lead" the country.

whiney emotional women (plibosek, gillard, hansen young) who are governed by their emotions are unfit for leadership.
those raised in the union movement have led a life dominated by complaining, whining, sooking and writing a cry-baby narrative. such beta males cannot have a sense of contribution.
To be parasitic is not to lead.

More fantasy from horse boy.

Just ignore.

After the stunning success of the alpha males Mr Newman and Mr Napthine, liberals in perpetuity is the last thing we need.  And the alpha male Mr Abbott what a stunning success.

Wish fulfilment fantasies. Unlike Longy, I think horse boy sees the Libs will lose the next election and so fantasises that Libs are “alphas” and so should reign forever.

Just hark back to Pig Iron Bob, 1949 to 1966. He carried out Curtin’s vision like the post war immigration and the Snowy Mts Scheme etc. But by 1966 we needed something more contemporary.

We are not getting it now.

Howard, abbott, turncoat just useless neocons. Neoconservatism bankrupts any country that applies it, just look at the US and its $US17Trn debt.

The Libs will lose the next election and deserve to lose it. Destroyed the ONE project that could have increased jobs, exports and GDP and kicked the car makers out.

All they can think of is how to make the ultra rich even richer.

Poor old Malevolent Monk. You just cannot accept the polls and what they are saying. They are telling you that the Liberals will win the next election by a similar, if not larger, margin than the last one.

The election this year will be fun... for me.

Really? What are you voting for? Turnbull has been the singularly most absentee member of parliament i can think of.

What has he done ... stood for ... represented .. advocated for?

He's just missing.

The current polls tell me the sugar rush of polls for Turncoat is over. As the Libs bumble along they will lose more support. 15% GST on everything not scary to you? It is to sensible people.

The polls that are stable and have been for some time at 53/47?

The only message you seem to be getting is from the little voices in your head.

15% GST has been on the table for 6 months and what did it do to the polls?  NOTHING

I've never been banned.

Do you accept that the polls are comfortably in the Libs court?  It is quite fascinating watching some of the near-pathological delusion that is at play with Monk.

Business confidence down again:

Quote:
Australian Roy Morgan Business Confidence continues to drift lower in January
Roy Morgan Research’s Business Confidence declined by a further 3.9 points in January (down 3.4% to 110.6), following on from the December decline of 4.2 points (down 3.5%) and the November drop of 0.6 points (down 0.5%). The combined drop of 8.7 points (down 7.3%) over the last three months is an indication that the initial increase in confidence following Malcolm Turnbull becoming Prime Minister has been outweighed by the negative local and international economic environment which saw the ASX decline by 8.6% in the first three weeks in January. Despite the negative trend in business confidence over the last three months it is still 7.8% above the level prior to the appointment of the new Prime Minister.

These figures are the results of 1,010 interviews with a cross section of businesses across Australia.

And in today's lesson the Mad Monk learns that a business confidence survey and a political poll are two very different beasts.
