People I guess don't need fear of an afterlife to make them do the right thing anymore.
I'm not sure thats right.
i find buddhists and christians far less "fearful" then secular people.
You need a direction in life and you need a "personal philosophy"
It doesnt probably matter in the long run which direction you take, but if you dont take a direction you are well and truly farrked.
And it seems to my observations that many many aetheists would do very well to submit to a "force" greater then themselves.
Their ego's wont like this.
Their ego thinks they will cease to exist if they do.
Paradoxically though, the opposite is true.
If people think they can find peace and happiness in the secular world of "ego", i will wish them good luck. They are going to need it
There are great many "forces" greater than people, there isn't any need for superstitious nonsense to feel connected to the world.
