I thought it was supposed to be hard for wealthy people to get into heaven?

Hard - not impossible and for reasons I am pretty sure no one could ever explain to you. After all, no one has been able to explain a single thing to you so far.

You must be thinking of a mighty needle.  However, it is most likely a typo, as the Greek words for "camel" and "rope" are only one letter different, and a rope makes a lot more sense.

It is just as cowardly to judge an absent person as it is wicked to strike a defenseless one. Only the ignorant and narrow-minded gossip, for they speak of persons instead of things.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.”

Be careful to leave your sons well instructed rather than rich, for the hopes of the instructed are better than the wealth of the ignorant.

Is this only about religion?  Or is that just another bug hunt?

"The art of taxation consists in so plucking the goose as to obtain the largest possible amount of feathers with the smallest amount of hissing."

Jean Batiste Colbert, Minister of Finance to Louis XIV

“Organisation doesn’t really accomplish anything.  Plans don’t accomplish anything, either.  Theories of management don’t much matter.  Endeavours succeed of fail because of the people involved.  Only by attracting the best people will you accomplish great deeds.”

Colin Powell, former US Secretary of State.

'I not only intend to remain a free person but will do everything in my power to ensure that my children remain free.'

'I will also be a promoter of liberty everywhere.'

'That these stands, once common, and the people who make them are now readily labeled 'controversial' or worse only makes the case for a book like this stronger...'
