I rarely see a housing commision house with out a foxtel box and a boat parked in the yard. i rarely see a welfare recipient without a smartphone.
You have a very different definition of safety net to me Kat
Yes, I seem to, don't I?
The difference being, mine is the correct one.
Oh, BTW, I noticed in Coles yesterday they are selling smart-phones for around $40.
And they're essential if you are looking for work.
as well as a smart phone , other essentail items include
a smile
a positive attitude
an attitude that you will never quit
an attitude that each failure brings you closer to success
a strong work ethic
a willingness to work on your nutrition , your fitness and self - improvement
a willingness to only assocaite with positive people
a willingness to cut depressed, negative, doom sayers, pessimists, angry people and criminal assocaites from your life
a willingness to not become addicted to gambling, drugs or alcohol, internet, televsion or computers.
these cost less than $40
in fact , they are free
And none of that will let you contact a potential employer, nor will they help an employer contact you.
And with the free data a pre-paid plan includes, they can job-search as well.
Your attitude that the unemployed deserve nothing sucks, quite frankly. As does the persistent stereotyping in the
face of overwhelming evidence that the stereotype is virtually non-existent nowadays, and has been for years.
