Yes, I seem to, don't I?

The difference being, mine is the correct one.

Oh, BTW, I noticed in Coles yesterday they are selling smart-phones for around $40.

And they're essential if you are looking for work.

as well as a smart phone , other essentail items include

a smile
a positive attitude
an attitude that you will never quit
an attitude that each failure brings you closer to success
a strong work ethic
a willingness to work on your nutrition , your fitness and self - improvement
a willingness to only assocaite with positive people
a willingness to cut depressed, negative, doom sayers, pessimists, angry people and criminal assocaites from your life
a willingness to not become addicted to gambling, drugs or alcohol, internet, televsion or computers.

these cost less than $40
in fact , they are free  Wink

And none of that will let you contact a potential employer, nor will they help an employer contact you.

And with the free data a pre-paid plan includes, they can job-search as well.

Your attitude that the unemployed deserve nothing sucks, quite frankly. As does the persistent stereotyping in the
face of overwhelming evidence that the stereotype is virtually non-existent nowadays, and has been for years.

And none of that will STOP you from contacting a potential employer. And if potential employers are made aware that you possess these qualities, they are more likely to contact you...

They were stuck on the wall at the CES office, dozens and dozens of little notices, you take one off and the nice lady rings up and makes an appointment for you. You meet the boss, he has a chat, if he says....when would you like to start? You say tomorrow.

Maybe he says....bring your birth certificate along tomorrow or maybe you don't even need that.....just your name, date of birth and you got paid CASH in a brown envelope......oh for the good old days, before fiat currency.

Where's the CES office?

We don't have them now.

omg Neferti, you must be a baby.

Sounds like I know all about being EMPLOYED. Do you think they had job agency scams back then? No way!

There were jobs galore in the seventies and eighties, just take your pick. I used to work two jobs, office by day, office cleaning by night, save for 12 months and travel for 12 months and walk straight back into two jobs and do it all over again.....those were the days......more jobs than people wanting them.

Yes. Phone and email.

I found this when I was looking for one of the ring in Bronny facebook pages.

This is sad, if it's true. No reason why it's not true. People ask why you would be afraid of the government, given half a chance, they will kill you.

From Facebook.

John Deininger
22 hrs
Found out today that RAPAD are running a WFD program up at the old Dr Arratta Memorial Museum
There doing renovations on building (Slave labour instead of getting professional builders in)
The building is full of asbestos.
walls, toilets, and flooring are being removed... most stuff is just being smashed out. no care to safely remove it
no safety gear has been issued to the WFD workers.
Muttaburra Primary school is just down the road from Dr Arratta Memorial Museum there is no air monitoring being done.
There is no safety signs up saying asbestos is being removed
No training has been supplied to the workers about removing asbestos
Public hasn't been notified to say that they will be removing asbestos
None of the debris is being bagged its just getting loaded in a ute or trailer and dumped at the local tip

Essential when looking for a job.

Of course people might try other methods, but for long term, after all the doors have been knocked on, after the pub crowd have been asked, after you hit up friends and family, after you post on facebook and twitter.

Would an employer bother with snail mail job applications?

I send my resume and cover letter by mail.

I get a reply 8-10 days later asking some pertinent questions relating to the job and the company.

I reply.

I get another letter 8-10 days later telling me to come in for an interview. OOPS......that was yesterday, bloody postman.

Only in your silly regressive world does that happen, not in the REAL world.

Liar, whilst I'll give you the foxtel dishes, you are lying about the boats. I've been in several thousand housing commission homes over the years and I doubt I've ever seen more than a total of 10 boats.

as for the satellite dish, that doesn't mean they actually watch foxtel. I'm pretty sure i have a dish on my roof but I don't use foxtel. The previous owners installed it and many of the dishes you see on housing homes were installed previously.

Ohh, and whilst we're on the subject, what makes you think housing commission homes are for the poor only? If that were the case, there'd be no ten year waiting lists. Many housing commission homes have two working adults that make good money, kids go to provate schools etc.

you need to move out of your world of stereotypes and into reality ... the sooner the better for you.

Person I know has video and photographic evidence as well of his WftD selling the positions to private companies, he's used it to blackmail Max Employment to get him a job instead of being in Stream 1 where they barely even look for you and and when he lands a full time job he still plans to go to the media about it. (He also has a lot of dirt on Max)

turn the hoses onto them.

We turn the hoses on all the rightard bludgers. This country is full of lazy rightard misers who have not donated to charity for years and who do nothing but sit on their arses all day looting money from other people's work.

and ironically it is the right-wing RICH people who outgive the lefites and poor by  very big margin. Bill Gates gives more money to charity than the rest of the population of the planet combined.  Warren Buffet is trying to beat him. Twiggy spends more money on training aboriginals than some governments.  there are exceptions... Gina gives nuffin to nobody, but neither do a lot of other people.
