The UK is Australia's Crystal Ball to the future
May 25th, 2015 at 1:59pm

"This week the Government is also expected to detail plans to strip citizenship from those promoting, supporting or taking part in terrorism.

"A number of countries are looking at stripping citizenship: the United Kingdom has done it, Canada and the US are considering it," Ms Bishop said".

"Mr Abbott said it was not the Government's intention to leave people "stateless".

... and:

"The Coalition is considering a plan to include those with sole Australian citizenship."

Poor Tones. Seems he's confused again. If only they'd brief him properly before he opens his mouth.

Would save such embarrassment to the poor thing.

I was watching the Ivan Milat program last night... and all I could think of was   how ham strung our system is..

everyone knew he was the most likely one.. yet no one dared move because some legal idiot would undo everything...if it hadnt been for Paul Onions who happened to escape... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes.. who knows if Ivan ever would have been caught...

we are tied up so tightly everything this country does has to go through so many channels...I mean at the end of the day.. this guy shouldnt even be named he should be working incognito..god only knows what these people who are trying to get back in... will do...

That's what the article says Cods. That the govt. is working on ways to strip sole citizenship.

I would like to think they can't too ... but they are trying, that's the point.

well they cant have a bet each way... he may mean like me I was British but chose to be Australian and gave up my British passport...

how can you take away someone citizenship....and not make the Stateless???....I mean everyone is born somewhere arent they??...

anyway time will tell...we cant have people going off and fighting with people we have no diplomatic relations with...that would have been treason in another time wouldnt it???

anyway they must have some consequences for their actions....if we want them to be deterred..

I think its really a tough one if you are dealing with young kids of 17 which seem to be the case with a lot of them......

"tough one" - my ARSE! codsey-baby.

You girls should never be given jobs as judges, magistrates, law-makers, detention centre staff, prison guards, etc etc where your nurture-and-breast-feed instincts take over from your commonsense where Bad Boys are concerned.

Settle down Herbie. Just because i pointed out that poor old Tones put his foot in it again is no reason to accuse me of wanting to breast feed people who've fought for foreign armies.

You're just so damn reactionary.

I didn't do a damn thing wrong, codsey, and that's because my childhood was one long experience of discipline in the home and at the school. My mother didn't drop me in a dark corner somewhere like a dingo in a litter, and then let me run free in the streets as a feral.

Herbie was too busy flouncing down the street so he could catch the eyes of the neighbourhood gentlemen Cods.

Soon coming to a suburb near you ...

This is what a successful multicultural policy is really all about. This is the ultimate goal. We should be proud of these outcomes. It demonstrates that we Anglos are NOT racists.

Cool

The UK once again demonstrating it is Australia's Crystal Ball to what the government will do next here ...

Impress your family and friends with your clairvoyant abilities! ... read Britain's Daily Mail ... and then tell your Aussie friends what 'new' initiatives your government is about to embark upon in a few day's time ...

Needless to say - they don't give us the results of the Questionnaire.

Sorry, but AFAIC they are no different to those who went (from all over the
world) to join the International Brigade and other milita groups during the
Spanish Civil War.

Their only enemy was the Spanish, not their own countries.

I doubt many of this lot are much different, when it all comes down to it.

But trust the extreme Right to over-react, as they always do.

Affirming citizenship/allegiance to a State Without Borders, such as IS, clearly indicates that you have renounced your Australian citizenship.

Even though a State does not issue passports and has no national identity - it is still a State and offering allegiance to it means you are not Stateless if your citizenship of your home country is forfeited.

**Joe Muj at the Immigration Counter**...

"All right, sir - can I see your passport?"

"Um - no - I'm a citizen of the borderless State of IS... a religious fundamental concept similar to the Kingdom of God once espoused by the West.. you see the point?"

"Actually - no.. we don't.  In this country you need documentation."

"Will my Australian passport suffice then?"

"Not in your case - it's been cancelled due to your allegiance to a State without borders... sorry!  Next plane leaves in five minutes.. be on it!"

(word for today:-

actualloy (n) - an amalgamation of realities....)
