Why do you care?

And, if Lisa stopped making unprovoked attacks on me, she would not get responses from me.  That'd be easy to work out, yeas?

You sound jealous.

Anyway, enough of your never ending bitter and twisted off topic rubbish....be gone!

Back to GARDENING.

I now have all my winter cos lettuces and broccoli planted....65 of the former...15 of the latter.

My potatoes are coming along just fine...the chokos are finishing up though.I only picked half a dozen this morning, I usually pick more  Cry

Broad bean plants are vigorous and hardy plants...so they're doing very well. I planted them in 2 stages this year...just to see if I can stagger the yield. I'm aiming for 35 kilos (have a few Greek & Italian rels/neighbours waiting for them)...so I'll be weighing and distributing them in 1 kilo lots and keeping a tally.

Our passion fruit vine looks awesome.  We counted some 55 fruit.....all slowly coming through in their various stages of maturity. We've already eaten a few (and given away even more). Have to say, we're pleased (or should that be relieved) that the insides are full of sweet pulp and juice. One of our neighbours had the misfortune of finding the insides of his passion fruit very dry and with a thick inner rind.  He's waiting for a few of ours now.

Mothers Day flowers are in full bloom here atm. I'm not into the white and yellow variety (probably because these colours are so common and therefore boring IMO). Anyway, there's lots of blood red, fiery orange and soft pink chrysanthemums out the front and they're just beautiful. Pity, I basically lost all such flowers in our backyard due to the recent Sydney super storms.

Anyway...that's pretty much it for today.

Have a safe Anzac Day everyone.

Lisa, a question. Do you plant flowers or is your garden all vegetables?

I wasn't being facetious, honest.  Lisa keeps talking about vegies. I want to know when she will talk about Spring Bulbs and stuff.  Is all.

Lisa is many things......but never, ever fickle.  She had lunch with Andrei don't you know and has been as loyal to him as that stuff is to a blanket.

It didn't go down too well by all reports. Maybe John has a work truck he uses for pick ups.

Good question Ms Nef.

It's about 60/40 in favour of veges and fruit atm.

Our block of land is around 600 square metres up high on a hill but slopes down so that our back yard is much lower.

As such, I need to be careful what I plant where.

Just like real estate...position is everything when it comes to how you plant certain species of fruit, veges and flowers.

Eg This year, I lost all my chrysanthemums out the back (compliments of Sydney's recent Super Storm). The topography of our block of land didn't help matters so....I had to pull them all out.

Ahh well. Such is life.

Hey Cods, good to see you back at Ozpol. You really should patent that choko/gas thing, they grow like weeds, cheap fuel woohoo!!!!!

I am waiting for broadbean recipes.

.otherwise I am with you, gardening is the pits...

I seem to have cornered the world of weeds...gallons of weedkiller seems to encourage them! in fact I think I am being taken for a mug by the Roundup people..do you think i have a case for consumer affairs???

my choko vines were hideous last year as well.do not understand why some people are just blessed in the garden and not others.. Cry

Good question. They have a lot in common though.

No life

No house

No partner

Oh and they're has-beens with NO HOPE.

People like that live miserable lives both online and offline. Their bitter and twisted posts tell the sad and sorry story of who they are are in real life.

Ultimately they are their worst enemy because they rob themselves of being happy.

Hope that answers your question. Smiley
