Well, actually it does.  While the Government may not officially be subject to religion, those who make it up are and that in turn changes the nature of the Government and it's policies.  The US bombs the crap out of nations, killing millions, despite all it's government being Christians and proclaiming their Christianity at every turn to the world.  A majority of it's population believes it's a Christian nation, so I rather think we should respect their views, don't you?   Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Utter nonsense as usual from you.

The laws and decision are made openly, without any influence by religion, subject to scrutiny by parliamentarians, the free press and the laws are administered openly by an independent, non-religious judiciary.

Don't you dare talk about Malaysia and Indonesia like that ever again. This is the Muselman we're talking about here.

Pathetic.

It seems that this story has been exaggerated. Christians are not being killed by ISIS. Apparently, Christians are allowed to stay in the Islamic State if they so wish. Most Christians had already left the area after the US invaded in 2003.

Quote:
...Father Boutrous Moshi told the Guardian from Qara Qoosh, a Christian area south-east of Mosul. "...They have not burned the churches..."

...Bashar Nasih Behnam, 52, who fled with his two young children last Friday, told a similar story:...he said. "They said we have conditions: either you comply with them or you leave. So we left."...

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/jul/24/iraqi-christians-mosul-isis-convert-islam-or-be-executed

Despite reports in recent days that all Christians had fled Mosul, the latest UN announcement on the situation said that some Christians had chosen to stay in Mosul:

Quote:
...Ms Badcock said only 20 families from the ancient Christian minority now remain in Mosul, which Isis has taken as the capital of its Islamic state...

ISIS Robs Christians Fleeing Its Edict in Mosul: Convert, Leave, or Die
The last Christians have left one of their holiest cities, running from ISIS demands to become Muslim or be slain—but as a final indignity, their money and even crucifixes were stolen.

After being issued an ultimatum from ISIS in Mosul, some of the city’s last Christian families have fled, only to be robbed of their last possessions at ISIS checkpoints.

See! Muslims protecting a church!

If only Christians would protect mosques in Australia, perhaps we would't have had half a dozen of them firebombed or shot at during the Howard years.

Good idea!!!

Just supply the AK 47's, Abbott_Lies, and i will supply a group of Aussie volunteers, who will stand outside mosques with their AK 47's - to protect the mosque.

Tongue

Abbott_Lies,

QUESTION;
And tell us, who do the Christians in Moslem Mosel need protecting from ???

The first recorded payments of Jizya were 50% of your wealth!

The first jizya only applied to men of military age. It was a token tax paid to show that they recognised the sovereignty of the Islamic state.

The earliest rates of jizya in Arabia were 1 dinar. A dinar probably weighed 2 or 3 grams. This makes the jizya worth about 100 dollars at today's rates.

Who in Australia would like to pay only $100 in tax?

When the Islamic state expanded into wealthier areas, the jizya was raised. For example, with the conquest of Syria, Caliph Umar raised the jizya to 4 dinars. Still fairly low by modern Australian standards.

Whereas Christian men of military age in the early Islamic state paid about $100 per year in tax, the average Christian man or woman of working age in Australia pays tens of thousands of dollars per year in tax. The average modern Australian family of a working mum and dad probably pay round $50,000 a year in tax.

Which would you prefer?

Being taxed by Tony Abbott ?
OR,
Moslem overlords, who threaten to 'righteously' murder you - IF YOU DO NOT GIVE THEM WHATEVER THEY WANT ?

I'd prefer NO moslems thanks!

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. "

This reminds me of Muslims trying to spin the Yemeni Jew population as evidence of Islam's tolerance. Most of the few remaining Yemeni Jews left for Israel shortly after it's creation.

Only 20 of these families remain, and still you try to put a positive spin on it.

Whatever you call reality is to be rejected just on that account - that you think it is reality.

Civilisation is resisted by primitives. They are dragged, kicking and screaming, into the changing world.
Aborigines are a stark example - 40 thousand years of stagnation is traumatic to leave behind.
And so with Muslim doctrine, with their 1000 years of stagnation and reflex for return to backwardness.
Of course it is traumatic. But who wants to go back to the 7th century with Muslims?? They arfe still killing each other over the rightful succession of Mohammed. That was 1400 years ago and they are still killing each other over it.
Don't tell me that this is any kind of guidance for you to live by or that you see anything good or improving in it. Or that it is good for others but not you.i
