Your presumption is mistaken.

It wasn't my shoes, but i gave something this morning, to those less fortunate than myself.

It was a nearly new item which i could have sold, but i decided to donate to my local Red Cross shop.

p.s.
Also, i didn't need to get a photo taken, so i could impress people.

As has been pointed out, the photo was taken by the bus driver and the story was picked up by the local media who tracked down the man responsible. At no point did the person at the centre of it all look for any sort of recognition.

I can't remember if I've said this before:

It was a nice gesture from this Muslim ... but how would he answer to a list of questions we could put to him about his Islamic attitude towards certain issues?

Apostasy ... homosexuality ... the separation of religion and State ... child marriage ... the Jews ... Osama bin Laden ... al-Qaeda ... 9/11 ... Western troops in Muslim countries ... gender separation in schools and universities ... honour killings ... beheading those who insult the prophet ... women's emancipation ...

If he answered these questions on a TV interview show he would probably find people in the studio audience throwing their shoes at him. Cool
