Re Cosgrove— an attention seeker appointed by a weak, populist PM.

He will do, but won’t be a patch on some of the great GGs we have had.

In an earlier Thread....some weeks ago, this was flagged, and I posted my opposition to the idea. It has me stuffed why he would want to accept this, unless the man is driven by sheer ego which has to be a serious flaw. He does not need the money, he has plenty to do already, and an ongoing military 'pension' we'd all kill for. He has zero experience or exposure to this sort of role, having no legal or other relevant administrative back-ground, in fact none of the skills and experience he has will be of assistance to him. He is not known as ceremonially inclined, or driven. He is a 'good bloke' but, the bloke is a soldier.....nah.

It will be interesting to see how many of his old military cronies ride in on his coat-tails.
