a rare form of paraphilia. I am doing further research on the matter and hope to publish my findings next year.

I am curious, did you make that diagnosis with or without diagnostic testing, you know, blood tests or neuroimaging? When did you first note the "change in personality"?

I am also curious, what "treatment" you would recommend. I know you suggest getting his NPD diagnosed and treated, but, from how you framed that comment it is clear you have already made the diagnosis already.

I think that your comment truly demonstrates the depth of care you are capable of for those who are mentally ill, well unless they demonstrate sexual practices that may be able to be diagnosed as a mental illness at least...

yes. You were embarrassed by that simple error after attempting to pass yourself off as a medical professional. Then you wrote copious posts defending pedophiles claiming they exhibited normal human sexuality.

A) I never claimed to be a medical professional. I also never defended paedophiles although if you were half as clever as you think you are you would be aware that paedophilia is not a criminal offence just as kleptomania and pyromania for example are not offences either. ACTING on those impulses however, is.

as a psychologist they would have a minimum of a masters degree. but that doesn't make them infallible nor unable to be conned or be gullible. 'adjustment disorder' can be severe but at the same time it can also be trivial such as in this case. there is a problem with trying to label an diagnose ever stress or problem we face and call it a 'disorder' when it often is no such thing. The shrink was a jerk and COmcare surprisingly good.

once again I see someone decides to judge without knowing full facts. Yes...the pschologist is the one being conned and is the jerk, but longie is correct in his assumptions after reading a half arsed article that releases very little in terms of information about the person's actual state of condition.

all you are saying is that without a complete medical report, notes of the interview and supporting documents we cant say anything???

please, please tell me you think the woman has a case.. I could do with a laugh. yes there is a small possibility it is genuine, but I see no evidence that could possibly even HINT at that nevermind suggest it. shes a lazy PS denizen living on entitlement who has actually been forced to... not actually work perse but to move location where she can do whatever she does to fill her day.

I'd sack her in a heartbeat and I guess that this mental health claim was nothing more than an attempt to impede that actual process.

you need to read. Then come back and discuss this further. I'm not disputing that comcare was wrong in their determination that her work environment is not responsible. I'm disputing your claims that she didn't have a mental disorder. Comcare agrees she has. Her doctor agrees. Her psych agrees. Everyone agrees. Except longie. So longie must be right?

and you don't think this mental illness is a bit convenient? and that's even without the cherry picked doctor who under corss-examination would be destroyed since the psychology profession and DSM both dispute the disorder even exists nevermind exists in this woman.

It's always sad when one completely ignores material provided and just spits rubbish out of their mouth. I bet you still believe children were thrown overboard. My 4 month puppy has more deliberating skills than you, and he chases his tail.

based on the evidence provided to us both it is reasonable to presume it was a false claim and she is a malingerer. Now we don't have all the information but what we do have is rather damning.
