Italy abuses asylum seekers

Funny that conveniently posters have made no reference to the abuse Syrian asylum seekers have suffered on the Italian island of Lampedusa where they were being stripped naked in December and sprayed from head to toe for scabies... Even the EU have threatened Italy with prosecution over this.

If you think Australia treats asylum seekers well then maybe you should have a look at one of the many reports that the UN and amnesty have done into our detention centers: all of which show them to be a miserable failure that doesn't come close to meeting the obligations Australia has agreed to.

What planet are you from that you think the way we treat asylum seekers is "humane"?
