How many Hubble type telescopes could they have installed in orbit
for the price of the ISS?

I think the ISS was a waste of money.

It's a quiet achiever.  The James Webb Telescope will be awesome.

But it will only work for 3 to 5 years - if it works at all.
If it doesn't it will be too far away to fix.

I would have preferred a whole fleet of Hubble telescopes.
Just think of all the wonderful pictures we'll never see
because there was only one Hubble?
