Untangling the mysteries of 'Backup'

'Configure file backup process'.

'Process' ... ? What 'process'?

Utter gibberish.

'Expansion Drive (K:)' is my external drive, and is not part of the local C: Drive.

Why would they be asking me to tick the K: Drive to have it Backed Up to the ... K: Drive?

And why doesn't Local Disk (C:) not contain all my folders and files?

With the old Acronis you simply pressed one buuton and it would Backup your system files, OS, and all your files.

...

####################################

More utter gibberish.

Four different Backup options ~ with NO option to put them together for a one-off Backup session.

...

######################################

More garbage.

What does Backup Data now mean?

...

I'm going to try EASEUS which someone mentioned.

I tend to use cloud backups, and only for data. All my software is free and comes with my Operating system, so I don't have to bother with that.

Sorry, I'm allergic to Microsoft  Grin

Herbert, the two freebies I use, without a hitch are

EaseUS Todo Backup 6.1

or

Paragon Backup & Recovery 2013 Free

I'll definitely try them. Thanks.

I installed Acronis a couple of days ago and did a backup that took about 90 minutes.

But now I can't find my files in the Backup.

I'll try Easus first.
