If I was polled on preferred Premier I'd pick Kristina too... yet I wouldn't have voted for her party at the election.

Keneally was ahead right up till 6 months before the election...  When she became Premier, she was highly popular and was the most popular political leader at one stage, as the Galaxy poll showed in March 2010, her personal satisfaction was 53 per cent. Her popularity began to decline in August 2010.

The people aren't to blame. It is how the leader promotes him/herself and their party. Abbott says he will stop the boats, but most of us know this is impossible. Howard got away with defying UN Conventions because 9/11 had just happened and he used the terrorist fear factor. Abbott won't have that opportunity, especially as Indonesia wants us to share the responsibility of coping with the refugees. They are a developing country with a population of 250 million. They look at us in this vast wealthy country and question why we can't cope with an extra 40,000 refugees per year.

Abbott has explained so little. The only real policy we understand is his paid parental leave which is extremely divisive and will replace the current scheme where all women are considered equal.

Abbott is also unpredictable in his mood swings. He's not prepared to debate Rudd and he has a history of semi controlled violence which could rear its ugly head at any time he's under pressure.

and quoting ratings agencies is rather funny since there are hardly any more-discredited bodies than ratings agencies.  These are the same groups that had Lehmann Bros at AAA just before they went under, the same as the two mortage bodies in the USA that went under.  They are the same groups wanting to reduce the ratings of our 4 banks despite them remaining in the top 20 banks in the world.

a AAA rating from them is at best meaningless and more likely, just plain wrong.  What else can you say about bodies that IMPROVE our ratings when every measurement of the economy is in decline?  They must get their analysts from Treasuru.
