yes, the English/wales/Irish/Scottish have chosen their best backline from those combined populations.

And they decide to .......... not run the ball .

Yes - they don't want the risk of loose ball on the backline
& a changeover free run to a try for the opposition.

The game has changed & has started to look more like league.

The first game was better with some spectacular tries.

One possible counter play to assist back line passing:

When the ball is passed to the backline - 2 players
close to the forwards -
run back to take full back positions.
Now you have 3 full backs & a loose ball taken by the opposition
can at least be defended.

yes, or just run it everytime you get it.
Throw caution to the wind.
Trust in your backs to dot down the tries.

A very tough game of test rugby dominated by strong defences.

The Wallabies were the side that found its way through and deserved to win.

The final test should be a cracker.

No - that's too dangerous.
They need 3 fullbacks to do it -
& I don't see them trying that.

The problem with the Lions is that their former Wales coach has picked too many Welsh players and not enough English players.  Wales are very overrated and England - the second favourites after the All Blacks to win the 2015 World Cup - is bringing through the best youngsters of any of the European teams.

There were as many English players in Saturday's starting 15 as Irish players, despite the fact that England narrowly missed out on winning this year's Six Nations (just like last year after jammy Wales, who went on to win the Grand Slam, were wrongly allowed a last minute converted try in their victory by seven points over England) and Ireland were absolutely abysmal.

Cofgod - Did not realise that. yes, I would have had more english than Welsh.
Purely on population numbers, if nothing else.
English sides have always been tougher than welsh.

Yes - I'd like to see them take the risk -
as I said it's too much like rugby league now.

Another great game in prospect tonight. Hope both sides relax a bit more and throw the ball around.

Going down the Soldier's Club to watch the game. I don't care who wins, as long as it doesn't waste 80mins of my life.
I think Lion's will win: Union thrives on 'traditionalism' and 'traditionally' - its 'their' Game 'we' play.  Wink

...plus, OZ Sport is like USA Economics. We play codes and style of 'violence' and they use Imperial rather than Metric (like everyone else).
Hence why OZ is known as the A-Holes of world sport (whingers, biffs, sledgers, etc) and USA is known to start Recessions, Depressions and tax nations through GST

What a terrible loss.

The Wallabies played as though they had no brains.

The Lions deserved the win.

Told yas  Tongue

The 'Wallys' gave the most PATHETIC display of Union I've ever seen. Even 'before' the match - what 'champion' side would select a ex-player who hasn't played an International for 4 years!?  Roll Eyes Talk about showing how 'desperate' one is  Roll Eyes He wasn't anything 'fantastic' back in his day either!
Mistake after mistake. Stuff up after stuff up.
