Finnish entrant Krista Siegfrids stokes controversy in Eurovision with on-stage kiss during 'lesbian wedding'

For a singing competition, it has never been afraid of stirring up political passions.
And tonight, Eurovision is set to provoke another furious row when as it prepares to air its first lesbian kiss.
Finnish entrant Krista Siegfrids, 27, said she wants to ‘make a statement’ about her country’s ban on gay marriage at the end of her performance.

I'm not expecting much in the way of a "furious row". I'm sure even neighbours has had a lesbian kiss by now.

We haven't won it since 1997, although we have won it fives time in total. Only the Republic of Ireland (seven times) has won it more.

There are 739 million people in Europe (in an area a third larger than Australia) but only about 15 of them watch Neighbours, and most of those are in Britain and Ireland.
