well please do bring your evidences

backed by source/christ/creator energies

this is all within all hearts

does this comfort thee?

i would suggest less repeating

more doing/being divine love unto all

if not you will have a difficult time

Spot,

How about you explain why you need to differentiate between belief and lack of belief?

Isn't it just a question of semantics?

You are giving him a headache, you brute.

Nope. Some atheists believe there is no diety and some just dont have a belief in a deity.

any way you cut it. it is still a belief.

Nope. Lack of belief. Do you believe there are no fairies in your garden or do you simply not believe they are there? Or do you believe they are there?

Waitress, I will also not have what he is not having.

I am particularly fond of this beautiful appeal to authority: please do bring your evidences
backed by source/christ/creator energies.

It's such a beautiful non-judgemental finger-wagging on behalf of whatever is your bag, man.

just beautiful.

An atheist could easily believe there were fairies in his garden, and that they hide whenever he looked. He would still be an atheist regardless of that.

Fairies are irrelevant.

Mais, non!! How can you say such a thing! Sacre Coeur!

I am accosted by this Hubert de Lartigue  fairy every time I go to hang out the washing at the bottom of the garden. My wife likes to send me to do this because she reckons it's good for our marriage as I come back all cooing and tactile.

We call her the laundry fairy.

Awwww, can you believe it??!!?
Don't knock it - unless you lack belief in fairies like SOB.

Exactly what I have been trying to get through to some. If you believe in something, just as was stated above, it is then a belief.
Gee, it's not that hard!!

Thats right however if you dont believe in something its not a belief.

This is waaaay over your soft head, Nicola.

Lack of belief = having no notion. That's the kinda gal you are.
Not believing = having considered a set of notions (NB!!!! Notions have been considered!) and rejecting a particular attitute towards them, that is, an attitude of taking them to be meaningful.

atheism = lack of belief in a deity

Because ppl like you (yes you because you have done this thing before) want to call atheism a religion.

Besides i was correcting damien who seems just as determined to make it a belief. Why arent you annoying him?

So you miss the point on purpose that it was about the belief not the fairies.

For you, SOB, a lack of mental activity is a permanent state of mind. You are hammering this stupid nonsense about 'lack of belief' as if atheism was a hole in your mental tapestry where other people have some belief.

You have many such holes in your mental tapestry and other people's minds being invisible, you believe that all minds are full of holes and are greatly lacking like yours. This itself is a dirty big hole in your mind, a lack where other people have self-reflection and insight.

"atheism is a BELIEF that there is no God"

Exactly what I have been saying, but some atheists cannot accept that it is a belief.
