2/12/2015 -- HUGE Eruption in South Japan -- Multiple Blasts of Lava over hours
Published on Feb 11, 2015
February 12, 2015 ... The largest eruption can be seen in this video at about 8min. The eruption covers the entire mountain with lava within 20 seconds or less.
Major Pacific seismic movement is underway.. as evidenced by the other volcanic eruptions occurring around the Pacific at the moment, such as Colima + Popo volcanoes in Mexico giving off multiple blasts, and Fuego volcano in Guatemala showing serious movement. Add in the borderline 7.0M earthquake which just struck Chile / Argentina, and the dormant volcanoes showing movement in the United States.
Now (Feb 12) a series of large blasts of lava has occurred at Sakurajima Volcano in South Japan (yet again).
Compared to any of the previous blasts of lava, this newest round is much larger. See the previous blast from February 7th here:

The previous large eruption began with a multiple day steaming event, immediately followed by a large blast of lava on January 25th 2015 (seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEMPS... ).
This ongoing active eruption began in earnest after the blast(s), producing an over 3 hour eruption on January 28th 2015 (seen the timelapse of the previous large eruption here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmMbx...
The previous eruptions ash cloud extended multiple kilometers in the atmosphere, and also spread multiple KM down wind from the eruption location.
The previous eruption ash cloud actually reached the West Coast of the United States, hitting Oregon and Washington state with a thin layer of ash mixed with the rain.
The ash laden rainfall on the West coast made national news..

EVERYONE still guessing where the ash came from.. now they're saying Shivulech Volcano in Russia...
See the eruption (and record it) live here:

Sakurajima volcano has been active in the past (2011 especially), and has since calmed down over the past year, now picking back up pace with multiple eruptions occurring recently.
