Obvious trolling. But surely accusing people of not only protecting, but actually supporting any pedophiles is ban worthy? It is not like this is the first time nail has hinted at this, and there are many posts denying his thinly veiled accusations. But this post by nail is very direct. This forum can be fairly low blow at times, but accusing people of supporting any pedo's at all is really gloves off.

oh as opposed to accusing ppl of bestiality?

Who said I attend the church on a regular basis?  You also have no idea which religion i am of.

Nice work though nail to divert from the facts that both quantum and I support a royal commission

You are just a dog nail, pure and simple devoid of basic reading comprehension

Quantum,

Lastly, calling someone gay is certainly a part of the low blow nature of this forum.

I always get mixed up between Longweekend & Quantum.
You both seem to have a standard method of trying to win arguments:
the ad hominem attack -
as soon as you've lost you accuse the winner of being gay.

As such - expect the same in return.

If you stop doing that then so will I.
As for Nail - he probably thinks the same way as he's always attacked too.

And look who is also backing a royal commission.

So what is Gillards problem?

Opposition Leader Tony Abbott has declared his support for a "wide-ranging" royal commission into allegations of child sex abuse, but says it should not just focus on claims involving the Catholic Church.

His move adds significant pressure on the Prime Minister to establish a national inquiry into explosive allegations by a senior New South Wales police investigator that the church covered up evidence involving paedophile priests.

Julia Gillard has not yet said whether she thinks a royal commission is needed, but Mr Abbott has pledged his support if the Government decides to establish such an inquiry.

"Wherever abuse has occurred it must be tackled and it must be tackled vigorously, openly and transparently," Mr Abbott said in a statement.

"It's clear that for a long period there was insufficient awareness and insufficient vigilance when it came to predatory behaviour by people in positions of authority over children.

"Any investigation must be wide-ranging, must consider any evidence of the abuse of children in Australia, and should not be limited to the examination of any one institution.

"It must include all organisations, government and non-government, where there is evidence of sexual abuse."

Several Labor MPs have publicly declared their support for a nationally constituted royal commission, saying it is the only way to deal with allegations that cross state borders.

The New South Wales Government has set up an inquiry in response to the allegations. A separate parliamentary inquiry into church sex abuse is already underway in Victoria.

Former prime minister Kevin Rudd says he is "deeply disturbed" by the issue of child abuse, and has indicated his willingness to support a broader inquiry if needed.

"If either of these independent inquiries conclude that there is evidence of institutional resistance on the part of the Catholic Church, or that more resources are needed to deal with these matters, then I believe this would constitute a clear case for a national royal commission," he said.

"Under any such royal commission, there should be an open examination of what has occurred in the past; what further reforms are necessary for the future as well as addressing the key question of appropriate compensation for victims," he said.

bullshit, you are an apologist for the catholic church. you have proven that time and time again !! Just like you defended the catholic church when they took away a house from invalid children and their carers and they had no shortage of resources to defend it in court !! Same as now. The catholic church has no shortage of resources to defend paedophile priests Sad

You were right on the side of a corrupt religious institution just like you are now !!

Nice try though mate but your mud wont stick no matter how much you try and throw.

I f.cken know you mate. Look through your previous posts. You were on the side of the catholic institution that battled in court to keep a house that was denied to invalid children because the old lady had become senile and bequeathed it all to those crooks without due consideration of the needs of her own family.

That's how those pricks work and you were on their side.  Sad

Hi Nail,
I'll answer this with a question.

Robert,
Why do you fear Nazis so much?
How do they personally affect you.

Why do you fear pedophiles so much?
How do they personally affect you.

Did I mention fear and hatred?

Well, I meant to - fear, hatred and ignorance.  They're the only possible reasons why anyone can dislike anything.
