Getting lost – trying to find Mildura – iphone

The iphone map has Mildura about 70ks from where it actually is

OMFG

I have nothing but contempt for people that can’t follow road signs and turn off into the Sunset country because their dam phone told them to.

Buy a map.

Follow the big long black road you are on.

I local moron got lost going from Mildura to Griffith – Drive over bridge, turn right, turn left about 400k’s later.

Brain dead morons, deserve to get lost.

I used Navcom Cheesy

Then what was that big 'chasm' that had trickles of water running through salinity dead forests? Maybe that was the 'ancient' version of the Murray? It was just outside of Mildura towards Griffith.
Other than that - saw no 'Mighty Murray'.
Maybe the 'floods' were quickly siphoned by everyone asap?

When was this, maybe it was when they dropped the weir pool to work on the weir? And please where are these “salinity dead forests”? Especially considering from Mildura to Griffith the only time you would see the Murray River is the bridge at Mildura, which is under the influence of the Mildura weir pool.

The next water you would see would be Gol Gol creek then Lake Benanee near Euston, then the Murrumbidgee at Balranald.

Do you think in ancient times that river flowed high and fast all the time? No surely not, you would have to be pretty stupid to believe that, especially considering the river used to regularly dry up completely.
