And how many supposedly-decent households hide a paedophile?

In my younger life, I knew of three such households and I hadn't been acquainted with too many more.

The mothers/wives hinted rather than told me straight out.

I guess they had put an end to the practice with threats of going to the police but it wouldn't have made pleasant living!

A good thrashing would do wonders for paedophiles who seem to have too much time for indulging their penises.

I read data that said 50% of abusers are from the family, and only about 50% of cases are actually reported.

Scary stuff.

Wink Wink Wink

SHAME TO ALL THOSE BRAINWASHED CRETINS WHO SAID NOTHING AGAINST THEIR ORGANISED RELIGION!!
FOR FEAR OF WHAT I ASK YOU????????????????????

It isn't pleasant but having to talk to one's children, encouraging their confidence would be a  good strategy.

A change in a child's happy disposition would be a good clue.

A child might mention how good Father Sebastian was to them, etc..

That would be time to take notice of Father Sebastian's intentions.

So you couldn't prove I was for the church, I was for the woman as long as she was of sound mind she could do with her assets as she pleased, so instead now you try and go after my family. What kind of a sick fukk are you nail?

Every attempt you make to try and take me down has been shot out of the sky because your claims are so ridiculous it's obvious you are high

I don't have to take you down because you do a good job of that yourself.

Read what you wrote. You were all for the church who have got endless reserves of money whereas that family with two disabled children doesn't.

So this is the best you have, you cant beat me on topic so you resort to implying I would leave my child in the care of a known pedo.

You are a dog Nail and the worst bit is you know it, so you will do anything you can to bring people down to your level so you can beat them with experience.

Still doesnt change the facts mate.

Go back and re-read the thread, and the posts are all the same.  People saying it was the womans right to do with her assets as she wishes, and you bobby saying but look at the past and the crimes they committed.  Still doesnt change the fact, it was her asset to do as she wished, and its not up to you and me to say who deserves them, be it a disabled grand child or a church.  Thats the joys of working your whole life, you can do with your assets as you want.  I wouldnt do what she did, but Im not going to judge her.  I dont support the church, I support the woman to make up her own mind.

Hear hear Nail,
Verge did everything to support the Church conning an
old lady out of all her money.
He denied it but I found a few of the quotes.
Then he wouldn't apologise - he's not even a man.

Verge - you're a troll & you should be banned.

oh really !! So where in their bible does it say to use parishioners contributions to pay lawyers and legal fees instead of using that money to help people in need ??

Isn't this family with two dependent disabled children classified as someone in need ?? Why didn't the church just walk away from the family contesting the will and just hand it back to them and practice what they preach in the true spirit of so called "compassionate christians" ??

It appears you are against free will, and I stand behind each of those posts, and it appears many others in that same thread were of the exact same opinion.

I will apoligise when I am in the wrong, so in this case I will do nothing of the sort.

I would have supported the woman if she chose to give it to the RSPCA, the local footy club or even one of her two children.  Why, because it was HERS to give.

Something you dont seem to understand.

Who said they used parish money to pay for laywers.  In Hawthorne I would think they would have a few parishioners who are lawyers who would do it pro-bono.

Why was the woman not free to gift her assets where SHE see's fit?

While a shame for her two kids and disabled grand children, it still doesnt change the fact AUSTRALIAN LAW lets us leave our belongings to whom we choose.

Pitty in your vendatta against the church you dont see it fit to honor someones wishes.

I wouldnt expect you to understand.

I understand that, but families don't send the culprits around the counrty-side or to other countries to hide them.

Verge,
But the church worked on her - something you refuse to see.
The RSPCA doesn't offer a gold pass to heaven either.
They took advantage of an old lady & the church didn't care about
her disabled kids who were thrown out on the street.

because the family contested the will and the church went to court to fight it out !!

why not just walk away and do the compassionate deed and let the family have their mothers house for their disabled children ??

Isn't that what they are supposed to do and help out the needy ? where is the churches compassion in all of this ??

Look the church doesn't even follow its own bible !!

Quote:
Matthew 6:19

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Luke 14:33

Any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple.

Matthew 6:24

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Money.

Matthew 19:21

Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Phil 2:3

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.

Acts 2:44-45

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.
