The unthinkable may happen in the US
Oct 11th, 2012 at 2:49pm

Romney may just evict the invincible Obama.
Latest polls have them neck & neck including in the swing states. Some polls even put Romney ahead and he appears to have the momentum.
Democrat-leaning pundits are ropeable over Obama's debate performance.
The thing is it's a different ball game being an unknown charismatic candidate and being an incumbent with baggage to carry.
What a turn up this would be!

Competence vs Celebrity

That is the choice that confronts the american people.

Quote:
Romney has drawn even with Obama in the presidential race among registered voters (46% to 46%) after trailing by nine points (42% to 51%) in September. Among likely voters, Romney holds a slight 49% to 45% edge over Obama. He trailed by eight points among likely voters last month.

How is Obi-Wan Obama invincible? He keeps shooting himself in the foot with feminist lie parroting about 'wage gaps' that favour women in reality, women's 'rights', women's this and that while Rome burns around him.

(chaws tobocco, spits through gums into spittoon, applies hog fat to back of neck, hollers out ter Jay-ed out back to git on down an' git Jethro down off'n that bridge where he plays banjo to ever' passin' passel o' canoers fer a few nickels n' dimes - and git off ter school so's ye can both git a second grade eddication an' be a success 'round here!)

**The above comment derived from another forum and a feminist who said that the only people who opposed feminism were a few old, toothless, tobacco chewing rednecks... Grin

So - apart from all that - what ELSE has President Oh Bummer done for the United States?  Eh?  Eh?

Can't walk on water with your feet shot full of holes..... Grin Grin

Romney will be an unmitigated disaster for the US, just as Abbott will be here.

The likely end outcomes may not be exactly pleasant, but it would hardly be unthinkable, IF Romney won.

After all, Obama has been the incumbent for the last 4 years, whilst the Economy has performed poorly, by historical standards & the US Debt situation has gone into low orbit.

It also has some similarities , back here in OZ, at least to some extent, although not as pronounced.

That said, I would suggest that history will record that the Republican medications actually killed the patient (the US Economy), as they will provide exactly the wrong thing, at exactly the wrong time.

In other words, the US Republicans will revert to THEIR old & time tested fixes (much the same as the wizards of OZ - the Liberals), which are now exactly the wrong medication for a world where the old rules are now "null & void"!

What makes you think that.

Romney is a successful self made millionaire, sounds better qualified than a community organiser from Chicago.

To his credit though, this Presidency has been the longest time Obama has ever been continuously employed.

Julia Gillard - twice selected, never elected.

We're still paying for the Whitlam Government.

Obamas problem is that congress keeps fillbustering everything. He needs MORE power to get anything done.

likely to make very little difference who wins (just like here Wink Wink)

actually the USA problems may be even less amenable to a political solution then ours.

the high unemployment, and low interest rates mean there really are no more levers to pull.

the big spend on defence (unstoppable because it is key to employment in many important states)

health care at 17 % gdp, as opposed to 12 % in oz and 9 % in the UK.

the high wastage of money on an enormous and unproductive legal fraternity.

massive spends on national security.

a dead housing sector and loss of so much equity due to plumetting house prices.

the chinese and saudi's probably unwinding their financial positions.

both romney and obama can thank europe for the lack of scrutiny on them  and their economic solutions but basicly, they have none.

kick start a dead economy, theyve got no more amunition to fire and they know it.

the rich will move their money out.
the poor will turn to crime
and the middle classes will be screwed by stagflation.

OZ shouldnt tie its future to a dying state

America already has lost.  It's just a matter of whether they accept defeat like bitches or show some heart.

imps prediction for 2012, november:

honkies will vote romney in the majority, in significantly higher margins than they voted for in majority for mccain.
non-whites and jews will vote for obama in about the same proportions as they did in 2008 by their usual significant majority.
obama will most likely win.

wtf am i even making these predictions for? of course this will happen. the only one that is uncertain is number 3.

if romney loses, the take home message in the G.O.P republican party should be :

-less immigration
-less sucking up to minorities
-less sucking up to the israel lobby
-less ignoring the interests of your political base.

the actual G.O.P policy response will likely be:

-more immigration
-more sucking up to minorities
-more sucking up to the israel lobby
-more ignoring the interests of your political base.
