The French are assophiles. Oh calcutta! is a musical homage to the cul. "oh quel cul t'as"

This is the cul that inspired the whole musical.

...

So if there is ever to be a musical about Mohammed along the lines of Jesus Christ Superstar, it will now have to be based on Oh Calcutta!

well yes.

have heard that ...

and given the repression inherent in that Moslem world,  that need for control of all 'lesser beings' ... it's not really surprising.

The male dominance of everything in that world also leads to the dominance of 'weaker' males.  That is the ultimate expression of maleness.

Will.

Mankind, in this age, seem to be lurching from one major ['international'] crisis, to the next.

When will this pattern end ?

Can we [mankind], end it ?

Does mankind even have the will to correct his errors [through making better/good [more moral] choices] ?

I don't think so.

We are all too dumb, too vain.             2 Thessalonians 2:4

Joel 3:13            Revelation 14:15, 18

"...the harvest of the earth is ripe."

In what sense ?

Just like;

Genesis 6:5
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
11  ....and the earth was filled with violence.

If the wickedness within men is the 'fuel' for a consuming fire, then,      Q. How will the wicked be destroyed ['consumed'] ?

Psalms 9:16
The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

Matthew 24:22
And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

How?

We will do it to ourselves.

We ARE doing it to ourselves.

You have prolly heard the saying;
"Goodness is its own reward."
  ??

And do we [mankind] imagine, not so, for [our] wickedness ???

It does seem so [that that is our hope, our intent].

To always seek to avoid responsibility, for the consequences of our choices.

And, stubbornly refusing to learn [....from our obvious mistakes].

It is our own choices, which define us,   which define who, and what we are.

No ?

Whether we accept it, or not,   ...we are moral creatures.

Nothing can stop God's plan.
....it is man's own nature which is driving it forward.

Not so ?

And God does not exist ?

Grin

If we are still breathing, we still have time to repent   [be sorry, in our heart].

Yadda

you know what I think.

Little tricks to raise fear or doubt are wasted on me, so try it on someone else.

Don't suppose you watched the SBS program tonight?

Jerusalem:The Making of a Holy City: Wellspring of Holiness.

Look at the history of Jerusalem, from it's beginnings.  Very interesting.

The program ended just about when the Moslems came out of Arabia. There must  be  a  2nd part.

Fascinating .......   and it's beginnings were Pagan, in case you believe it was always first a Jewish settlement..

I'd recommend you watch it.  And Abu for that matter.... for an historical and factual look at this most fought - over city in all human history. Sad

Let us suppose  that there is God.

Do you really believe in your heart, and soul, that He looks down with fondness at the actions of His followers.??

Don't think so ....no way.

You imply that the arabs are somehow doing us a favour by selling their oil. No. They have nothing else to sell until someone invents a use for their sand.

We are nowhere near as dependent on the arabs as they are on us. Most of the US consumption of oil comes from the US and Canada. Only about 20% comes from the middle east. About the same for Australia. Our single biggest import source of oil is Vietnam. Followed by Malaysia.

Anyway, all this green energy caper - if and when it kicks in, it will be the end of the arabs and persians.

This cartoon from The Onion should be perfectly OK as you cannot actually see Mohamed's face, only his hat. There is nothing in Islam that says you can't draw pictures of Mohamed's hat, so this is OK.

...

Sorry, children, you are not allowed to see. You don't want to be keeeeled, do you?
