Processing?
The Dept of Immigration takes them at their word which is why the majority throw away their papers and passports.
What processing?
If the government was serious, they would not grant resettlement outcomes to these country shoppers.
Take the magnet away, and watch the issue disappear overnight.

of course they get processed you fool ... another thread where you just make up the facts to suit yourself ... they do not get out of detetion until their identity has been confirmed ..... they throw their passports for a vcariety of reasons, the two most popular being that you can't send them back if they don't have a passport .. and two, the smugglers lie to them and tell them Australia will send them back if they have a passport

and of course the illegals never lie about the smugglers lying?

it's easy to blame someone else isn't it?

it's never occurred to anyone on the left that the people smugglers may have told the illegals to keep their passports but the illegals decided to throw it away

All the more reason to send them packing if they arrive without passports or with fake ones. Let that word spread.

The Sri Lankan Tamils who can't get a passport can always escape to Tamil Nadu in India, a short distance across the water from Sri Lanka. It's full of other Tamils, they should feel instantly at home.

Its interesting that it didn't occur to any of the three old parties to give the illegals the opportunity to work off their debt to Australia in the detention centers and show their gratitude for our care while they await deportation... Sad  Tongue

Its not about race its about citizenship, law and the innate rights of the Australian people to live in peace,  free, secure and unharnessed by external pressures, and we all have that right and the right to defend ourselves and our legal borders. Cool Cool

They should work if they are able. Cool

India may not have the legal right to stop Sri lankan Tamils traveling freely between Tamil Nadu in India and Sri Lanka because of the cultural and family ties...but they don't have any legal right to come to Australia... Cool Cool Cool

As a leftard I hold a different view. I think the gov. should refuse entry to all muslims on the grounds that they blow up planes and trains. stone women to death and dont like us.
I have no problem with any other nations.

I see. Tamils can't go to Tamil Nadu in India because they are not Indian. But they can come here, even though this is not called Tamil Christmas Island and they are not Australian....

I bet you'll vote Gillard again....You think like someone who would.

Tamils in India, Tamils in Sri Lanka, Tamils in the summer time..

Here's a trick question - be careful now - can you spot the common feature?

No?
