That might work for a while, but there's problems in predicting demand. It's not easy to predicted equal manufacturing in line with equal demand and then make sure there is the equal re-growth/renewability of resources.

The old Soviet Union had this problem of predicting demand. They couldn't predict with any certainty how much and what to produce.
The market works better in that respect.

The old soviet union worked on the same principles of the free market. Free trade cased the last great depression and the current global financial crisis so why be addicted to failure? Cool
