Geez, you're getting some quality comments there SOB!  Tongue Let's get the ball rolling

First thing she did well was to negotiate herself INTO government. Unlike the whining losers in the opposition.

Lessee... other things on the well-done list include:

  • Running of the economy (as evidenced by low unemployment, good growth, ...)
  • Introduction of the national disability insurance scheme
  • FINALLY getting a price on carbon across the line (something that both former governments failed at)
  • Continuing investment in education

Things NOT done well:

  • The ridiculous attempts at offshore processing for asylum seekers
  • Couldn't sell a meal to a starving man
  • A natural talent for scoring own goals

Just a few off the top of my head. There's more but I've got work to do!

She's done good things. Only yesterday I was praising her for not responding to Tony's niggling, thinking she may have settled down a bit.

Then what do we hear today?

She wants to include education, food and health to the GST and up the retirement age to 70. Both bad policies.

I must also ask why when our economy is doing so well.....supposedly.

On news.com opinions yesterday, it seems most Australians are mocking the notion that we should have a bounce in our step.

So it's not just a two speed economy, but there's also two perceptions of the economy.

It's probably not her, it's everyone involved in the government. The issue that I had in mind was the debacle at the Australia Day ceremony where the venue was surrounded by protestors. For a little while, it was a defining moment for Gillard ("What about Mr Abbott? Where have you got him?").

Next thing, it all goes to custard as we find some minion up to their armpits in the actions of the protestors.

Can we at least try and be accurate in our reporting here folks?

The ideas you're talking about re: GST reform and Retirement age came from a conservative think tank and have NOTHING to do with the Government

They're very much pro business ideas and anti-Labor

So they arent going to put the retirement age up? Again?

GST will go up. Eventually. Whichever party is in power when they get broke again will put it up.

massive debt, borrowing over $100m per day with no plan for paying it back = FAIL!
  • Introduction of the national disability insurance scheme
    Not fully funded = FAIL!
  • FINALLY getting a price on carbon across the line (something that both former governments failed at)
Introduced on a lie = EPIC FAIL!
  • Continuing investment in education
Like the BER where widespread rorting occurred at great cost to the taxpayer while not delivering what schools needed - FAIL!

Soo... you'd rather be completely debt free and thoroughly bankrupt AP? That's a pretty dumb attitude. Personally, I have no qualms about manageable debt. If I didn't go into debt I would NEVER have saved enough to buy my first house. As it is, I now have two. There's nothing wrong with debt. There IS something wrong with being so averse to it that you'd rather hang yourself to avoid it.

Carbon tax - yes, that's it. Just like the one your side promised only this taxes the polluters instead of ordinary workers and pensioners.

BER...  Grin Grin Grin You've been debunked on that rubbish SO many times that it just isn't worth wasting breath on it. Enough to say that once again, you show yourself to be a worthless hack.
