Swan confused over hypotheticals

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/national/13868526/swan-wont-talk-about-budg...

Treasurer Wayne Swan is refusing to say whether he will allow the federal budget to remain in deficit to help absorb the shock of another global economic crisis.

Mr Swan said he would not deal with "those hypotheticals" when quizzed by reporters in Canberra on Tuesday.

"This government has a proven track record of dealing with global instability," he said.

The government plans to have the budget back in the black in 2012/13, but with a slim surplus of $1.5 billion.

Mr Swan insisted the economic outlook for Australia was positive despite global challenges, citing growth, job creation, a healthy banking system and a "really strong" investment pipeline.

"Australians can have confidence that we do face these challenges from a position of strength," he said.
The coalition has said it will allow the automatic fiscal stabilisers to operate if another crisis occurred.

he won't deal with hypotheticals?

Here's some news for you Swanie

The Budget you delivered in May is a HYPOTHETICAL!

Last year's Budget - that was also hypothetical because the deficit came in at $43B and you predict it to be $21B

And the Budget before that - you also missed the mark

And the one before that!!!

So there goes your credibility in dealing with economic crisis

Most pollies wont deal with hypotheticals. I think its because of what happened to bob hawk when he went on that show "hypothetical" and they asked him if he had to have life saving surgery and his 3 choices of doctor were a doctor who was smoking weed or a doctor who was on heroin or a doctor who was drunk he had to choose the drunk. lol.

When we become a Repubic and take back our assets and country, the oligarchs will not be allowed to practice usury, profit from gambling, take excessive productive value of labor or tax food, alcohol, water consumption, cigarets or alcohol and financial penalties for speeding fines will be abolished being replaced by a points demerits system and license suspensions.  All revenue will be derived from taxing the oligarchs, corporations ect and their profits as well as from assets owned in common by the people.  And the Green fascists and Peter Reith can get stuffed.
