Kater's Australia Party new Labor
May 26th, 2012 at 7:14am

Is Bob just having us all on here or does he really mean it. Is Bob aiming to get the disaffected Labor vote that just cannot stomach Liberal and the Greens are too left for them. Maybe one day they will be singing,  "you can't get me I'm part of Kater's Australia Party till the day i die" Smiley

They are still about ,cods, I think there is a member in the NSW upper house.
That said, they were religious based, the Catholics that broke away from the ALP, led by Bob Santamaria, who,BTW, was phony Tonys mentor. I don't think Katters party is anything like them.

There is no DLP members in the NSW Upper House there is a couple of members from the Shooters Party and some from Fred Niles Party on the cross benches.

There is one DLP member from Victoria in the Federal Senate

Katter is a funny guy. He's also a real gentleman, and there are not many of them left in politics. I have the same kind of respect for him that I show for a purebred dingo on Fraser Island. Unique and amazing, but don't get too close.

Yea he was. I can see why Katter might think he could appeal to some EX Labor voters.

So staunch he joined the Country Party.

"Katter's father was a member of the Australian Labor Party until 1957, when he left during the Labor split of that year and joined the Queensland Labor Party, which later became part of the Democratic Labor Party. He later joined the Country Party, the forerunner of the National Party"

The Nats are closer to the old style Labor Party than they are to the Neo Conservative Liberals so I can see why Katter thinks his party would attract old style Labor voters

That's funny, given you run 3 different IDs Jack.

Then again given you have had the cops raid you for suspicion of storing dodgy stuff on your PC maybe thats not a bad thing mate....  Wink
