2,000,000 union members in OZ @ $10 a week.

Time the ACTU was seen as the fat cat it is. All they care about is your $10.

Super rich tax for the ACTU.

Are union dues still tax deductable?

Hockey says Coalition would cut welfare

Good idea. Cut it so it cannot become a lifestyle choice.

Let neighbourhoods, local communities collect funds for welfare and manage the welfare recipients in their midst. People who know the recipients would take much greater care and would be much more interested in re-absorbing them into productive work. They would also support the truly needy without begrudging it, because they would know that they are truly needy.

Centrally managed, impersonal welfare is the poison, not welfare as such.

I support these concepts as does any decent human being.

I don't see Australian law as being perfect, but neither do I applaud the conservatives' goals of stripping away these rights and creating a 'law of the jungle' environment reminiscent of the 19th century Europe.

I am committed to ending corporate vice in all working class suburbs - seeing brothels, pubs, fast food outlets, pokie venues and drugs cleared out and outlawed.  We should not tolerate for one minute in any working class suburb any corporate vice indusuies aimed at morrallly corroding and exploiting our communities. Cool

In reality the entire executive of business is obsolete and a drain on competitiveness.  The executive could be abolished altogether and business run by worker collectives. Cool

One of the great objections I have to corporate vice industries in working class suburbs is that they are wealth redistribution scams.  The people running them are not our kind, we do not know these people, they are not part of our community - who is this American McDonald's and KFC dealing in obesity and heart failure to the working class and why should we allow them to do business among us when all they do is weaken us and rip billions out of our communities.  Who are these fat cats installing pokie machine venues in  our town...we do not know them, they are not our kind and the wealth is stolen by that other class for their welfare.  We should not stand for it. Cool Cool Cool Cool

Not In My Suburb!

Do you think we should have more social security?

What standards does Islam set for government welfare?

Its a shame Nationalism is always left out of the equation.
Less immigration would drive up the wages to entice workers into positions.
And unions will never make that happen as it makes them redundant.
