This gay marriage issue is just another small target politics the Greens wants to focus on.

In an interview with Joe Hockey yesterday Penny Wong interesting said

"When you say those things Joe, what you are saying not just to me but people like me is the most important thing in our lives, which is the people we love, is less good, less valued.

If you are going to use those words on yourself Penny then don't expect others to respect your message.

If the ALP are so gung-ho about it then take it to the next election.

If Penny believes in it so much then join the Greens and fight the cause. She won't because her political career is more important than her conviction for gay marriages.

If the Greens think the majority of Australians are all for it then force the ALP's hands.

Facts are the ALP are not going to do it. Neither will the LIBs.

This is where I support Gillard's and Abbott's opinion on it.

You know. Some ppl change their minds. It happens. Especially in politics. That being said I doubt she has changed her mind. She supported it all along but it was her job to not support it because of her political alliances.

Greens will remove fringe benefit taxes?

Greens will begin closing down the coal industry?

Penny Wong owned the show once again last night.
Calm, respectful, intelligent in fact everything you wish politicians were, Joe wasn't too bad either.

Maqqa as usual saw Penny cutting last remark to Joe saw it could be interpreted badly for the libs so has decided a'la Bill Shorten on the preemptive strike against Wong.

Nice Maqqa earnt your cheque this week.

Verge I thought you understood things a little deeper than this "She opposed Gay Marriage"
She ran the party line, as all politicians do, Abbott would ban abortion yet he follows party lines of a womens choice, is he a liar like your accusing Wong of being?
You want to go back to Q&A last year where Richo(of all people) put a sterling defense of Wong and Gay issues up.
To paraphrase,
How is ostracizing yourself out of the decision making process smart?
Why not work quietly from within & achieve change?
