The principles of the Hamas are stated in their Covenant or Charter, given in full below. Following are highlights.

"The Islamic Resistance Movement believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf consecrated for future Muslim generations until Judgement Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up. "

"There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors."

"After Palestine, the Zionists aspire to expand from the Nile to the Euphrates. When they will have digested the region they overtook, they will aspire to further expansion, and so on. Their plan is embodied in the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion", and their present conduct is the best proof of what we are saying."

Spot were you unaware that Hamas calls for the destruction of Israel in it's charter? This is not some little by-line. The charter is jihad from start to finish. Accepting land from Israel is not the same as tossing out their charter.

If Hamas did actually want peace, and had an outdated charter that forbade them from seeking peace, the first thing they would do is change their charter. Nothing else would make sense.

Can you explain your absurd mental gymnastics and Islamic apologetics? The more you talk about this, the more you look like a Muslim.

It is not an old charter. It is their current charter. Hamas' current reason for existence is the destruction of Israel.

How would you handle that? Ignore it and hope they don't kill you? Why are you so desperate to avoid acknowledging what these Muslims stand for?

So maybe they are good speakers - the Palestinians are liars and like to make the world think they are poor and all refugees.

Spot how would you handle Hamas? Don't you think it is naive to expect a viable peace treaty with an organisation whose charter calls for your death?
