The military actions in Libya and Syria are restrained, at least, by UN decisions which put a muzzle on the US dog. No empire ever "worked" and US-UN may be as good as it gets.

But at least the Arab flat-earth vote got some votes against, compared to nil against if it was just an Arab council alone. The Roman and Greek empires had Arabs, so does the US World Inc.

And look at the spectacular reversal since.
What happened?
Knowledge was recognised to be too dangerous for the survival of Islam. Muslims have stagnated for 500 years because of Islam, nothing else. They could be colonised by the west because of the closing of the Islamic mind 800 years ago. They are in a mess in this post-colonial era because of islam.

Makes you think (but only if you are not a Muslim).

At least having the Arab:Jew mud-wrestling championship in the UN debating room allows a few influences from outsiders to be heard. Not that the US is much of a wrestling referree.
