Peter Costello. Professional sook

Harden up you big sook.    You are not a leader.  Howard told you do, private industry told you so, and now the government has told you so.

FFS, what a cry baby.

Another person that was part of a government, that looked after the well off and the big end of town.  That is now in the rubbish bin of history.   Smiley

Someone who sold 167 Tonnes of Australia's Gold onto the world market @$305 and ounce, driving the price of Gold down so China could buy up 450 Tonnes cheap, is not the person who should be in control of the super fund.

He is an economic disaster.

Worst treasurer ever.

Yes, claiming you are gun economic manager by selling off public assets and overtaxing is a joke.

Slashing public spending to hoard our tax money to buy votes at election time.

Meanwhile causing a skills shortage and a collapse in services to the community.

longy, its not a coincidence that private industry shunned him, and the future fund shunned him.

He got lucky as being in the right place at the right time. Gee, tax revenues doubled because of the boom, and the political climate was right for him to be able to sell off heaps of public assets.

He got lucky, and should just retire gracefully, instead of tarnishing his record further.

Typical of this labor government to give a job to the boys and go against recommendations that would have looked after Australians money with some competence.

Now we will have second or worse best.

immediately after he quit he was offered a $2M/yr job as chariman of a UK firm (forget which now). which he rejected.

you have a funny definition of 'shunned'. I wish I was 'shunned' like he has been!
